Interactive table to predict signal and purity for any filter/detector combination
Using the following form, you can create a table which summarizes the LYRA throughput for solar maximum and minimum for any possible filter and detector combination, and the purity (ratio of signal in interesting wavelength range to total signal, ideally close to 100%).
Based on the values in these tables, a decision has been made as to what filters and detectors will be installed on LYRA. Ideally, the chosen configuration should have high purity values and a high output signal. Simulations also involve Silicon based detectors to demonstrate the advantages of diamond based detectors in terms of purity, even when multiple combinations of filters (like two Lyα or two Herzberg filters) are considered.
